This 4-bed family dwelling was created in place of a set of demolished garages in Sevenoaks. Vivendi Architects were appointed at RIBA Work Stage 4 to undertake and complete the technical design and submit for Building Regulations approval.
Built over two levels – basement and ground floor – the layout is designed around key views to the garden and includes the use of lightwells to bring natural light into the lower parts of the house.
The scheme used insulated concrete formwork as part of a combined environmental and structural strategy, which allowed the building to be constructed quickly, efficiently and in a sustainable manner.
