Located within a quaint urban residential setting, this project considers the demolition of an existing dilapidated garage and the construction of a 2-storey dwelling.

The development provides a well-designed single occupancy unit of 37m2, with private access through a private courtyard. The proposal includes a part single-storey element which hosts the entrance to the dwelling into a desirable sized open plan living, kitchen, dining area with access and open view to the private garden and sleeping accommodation to the upper floor level.

The proposal has been designed in a respectful manner of a contemporary design to create an appropriate transition between the neighbouring building and cottages whilst retaining the expression of contextual materials present of the existing buildings within the area.
