Our appointment on this project is two-fold. Phases 1 and 2 were for a Change of Use from offices to 21 x residential dwellings, and the design of new glazing throughout the existing building. Following our success, our involvement then then continued to a full plans Building Regulations submission.
For Phase 3, Vivendi Architects have been appointed to consider designs for two additional residential floors above the existing building. Our feasibility studies included consideration of daylight and sunlight issues, overlooking of neighbouring buildings and, most importantly, developing an appropriate structural strategy alongside a consultant Structural Engineer.
Following rigours design explorations, and a thorough Pre-Application and Planning process the proposal for the contemporary corten frame addition, accommodating 7 x new duplex dwellings, materialised and gained planning permission. Our design solutions incorporated sustainable design elements, amenity areas which were culminated to an attractive scheme to reinvigorate the prominent building.
