Our team was tasked with coming up with design concepts for a new build residential scheme to a vacant commercial/car parking site. Our assessment concluded that the site provided an opportunity to improve the street’s visual appeal, creating a seamless visual link between the existing residential neighbouring properties.

Our scheme features a mix of 1, 2, and 3 bedroom units, each boasting attractive external private outdoor spaces. This design aligns with local policies and enriches the character of the residential area, taking full advantage of the site’s access to local infrastructure and amenities.

The overall external appearance draws influence from the existing streetscene and makes use of architectural forms combined with locally used and new materials to provide a more diverse fenestration pattern and a contemporary addition to the area. In order to enhance privacy within the residential units, recessed facades and brick perforations are presented aiming to provide an attractive and high-quality finish.

We are hoping to remain involved in this project as it moves into detail design phase and eventual construction.
