Our Project brief was for the conversion of an existing hotel with associated extension works and internal reconfiguration of the property to accommodate 5 no. desirable self-contained residential units.
We worked closely with Islington Council with the key considerations being to maintain the existing character and style of the property and provide outdoor amenity area to each unit through the introduction of private balconies and terraces.
The introduction of new lightwells around the property and outdoor landscaping was provided to increase daylight to habitable spaces, within the newly constructed basement level forming 2 no. large family/duplex units (over ground and basement levels).
Overall the building project was a success providing new accommodation to the area whilst preserving the original character and style of the building.
