Vivendi Architects were appointed to design the conversion of an existing commercial building into 19 self-contained flats.

As part of the brief, we assisted the Client in carefully restoring the building’s unique character while utilising prominent arched windows and natural light to facilitate the residential uses.

The building was dilapidated  and in need of significant improvement and repairs which also included  external restoration works to  the building to bring it back to  its true character and style.

The building was modernised and updated to meet and exceed Building Regulations requirements, ensuring it’s longevity and thermal comfort for the user.

Winning the Regional ‘Best Residential Conversion’ at the 2022 Building Excellence Awards by LABC is a testament to the team. In summary a very challenging and successful project, which has brought back Cambridge House as a landmark building to the local area.
